What you think you become. That is why it is so important to have positive thoughts. But if you merely repeat something without any feeling behind it, it’s just mechanical. You have to have some conviction: “I am becoming joyful. I am becoming brave. Day by day I am becoming better and better.” By the same token, if you say, “Oh, I don’t think I can do it. I am growing weaker. I’m not any good,” then you are dwelling on negative thoughts. So think about what kind of food you are feeding your thoughts. Give them good, nourishing food. Don’t give them poison. Then they will become powerful instruments for good in the world.
