I’m Not Afraid, I’m Not Afraid, I’m Not Afraid

Question: Are great catastrophes, possibly even a nuclear war, in store for the world; and if so, what will happen to each of our individual evolving souls?

Sri Gurudev: First of all, “Are there catastrophes in store?” The answer is “Maybe.” Oh, you wanted a year and date. Okay, “Maybe tomorrow.” Remember: what God created can be destroyed. Don’t ever forget that. What was put together will get separated one day. But don’t you cut it. If at any time it has to be cut, let the One who put it together do the cutting. And don’t worry about catastrophes. If something has to happen, let it happen. It’s all up to God. “I’m not afraid, I’m not afraid, I’m not afraid! Even if the whole galaxy breaks into pieces and falls onto my head, I’m not afraid!” That was the song sung by a great saintly poet, Bharati. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Today there’s no catastrophe. Why worry about it? Enjoy the golden present.
