The Door Is Never Closed
Until the Last Lame Sheep Comes In

Question: Are there some souls who will never merge with the Cosmic Consciousness in the end?

Sri Gurudev: All of the souls, ultimately, have to gain the same Cosmic Consciousness. The door is never closed until the last lame sheep comes in. We are all ultimately, ultimately going to go to the same place. There’s no doubt about it. Only some may be swifter. Some use their intelligence and go on the straight road. Others jump a little here, a little there. But still the door is left open. It’s never closed: “Oh, you’re too late, you can’t come in.” No. God is merciful and will wait even for thousands of years, thousands of births.
