The Best Victory

So much discipline is necessary to fight a war, and that is only a simple war against other human beings whom we call “enemies.” The war that spiritual seekers are trying to fight is against a bigger enemy. Unfortunately you cannot even see the enemy. Your enemy works through your eyes, through your nose, through your tongue, through every cell of your body.

You are surrounded by the enemy. You need so much discipline to fight it. It’s a continuous battle until you really win over the senses. Of course when you win over your enemies, they are no longer enemies, they become friends. That’s the best victory. The real victory is not in killing the enemy, but in making the enemy your friend.
